Following the development of the National Energy Strategy, the resulting National Action Plan for Energy Efficiency stipulated support measures and incentives open to all citizens with the
objectives of reducing energy consumption and boosting the
energy efficiency of buildings.
Within this scope, the contribution made by windows
is decisive to reducing energy consumption and costs (both heating energy in the winter and cooling in the summer) and the consequent
reduction of CO2 emissions into the atmosphere.
Under the auspices of the 2011 state budget, there remain incentives for the general population to improve the
thermal insulation
of their homes given the continuity provided to the "Efficient Window" measure. This attributes tax benefits to all those who replace their old windows (wooden window frames with single panes and standard aluminium single-pane window frames) by efficient windows.
